Kindle Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display Review

After a bit overwhelmed by the choices of all new Kindle, and get it, I ordered the new Kindle basic back $ 79 first. So far I like what I see. I have a Kindle 3, making it the only device that really can not compare now (I think the comparison of the Kindle and other pills make no sense, has to do with this device with the content and delivery):

First Form-factor - Compared with the Kindle 3 Kindle feels to keep this compact, lighter and easier. My hands are wrapped around better than the K3. Read books for a few hours at a time, will be easier in this device compared to K3. Is the lightest device of this type which is used compared with all previous Kindles and other tablets.

Second Screen - Personally, I like the fact that there is no button on the device and the keys are in place on the screen when you need it. Provides a complete reading experience. However, navigating the onscreen keyboard with 5-way control can be taxing to have to do research too, and you could lose the physical keyboard altogether. Especially in the Kindle itself, looking for books on my laptop look so not a problem.

Third Price! - A $ 79, you can not go wrong. Compared with the purchase of paperback or hardcover, be healthy, the cost of this in just a few months, because most of the cheaper price of Kindle content (access and is available immediately, and perhaps in everywhere), as the printed editions. Not to mention all the free downloads available on the Kindle catalog.

Fourth screen - almost the same e-ink screen in the K3.However, the brightness is not taken into account. You can sit in the sun and read a book. Turn the page, seems to be much faster in this comparison with the K3. Screen size Kindle 3, the new Kindle, and feels exactly the same size.

Fifth Wi-Fi - this may be a professional or with (no 3G), according to personal preferences. If you travel frequently and want to be able to download content anywhere without fear of Wi-Fi, it is best to stick to the K3 or wait for the Touch / fire. For me, 3G is no big deal.

Sixth Text to speech and audio books - These two features are missing on this device. Personally I have never used these features in my K3. When listening to audio books or music or TTS on Kindle, could the new K3 / Touch / Fire best options.

Seventh This device can store 2 GB, which they say is about 1,400 pounds of storage. To me it's a massive storage capacity and it will be years before moving to this property. Also, if you download the books from time to time and have a moderate level of discharge into the Kindle, 2GB is enough. Of course, think ahead and see how much you can expect to download in the next 2 years (I guess the device will be obsolete and replaced within this period).

Eighth Battery life - if not too soon, but the Kindle battery life tends to be large. Specifications state that the battery in this unit 1 month 2 months to touch or K3. One month is enough (Android phones are loaded every time!). At least I know that when I go on a long flight, this unit is not charged if paid in advance.

Ninth adapter - the Kindle does not come with an adapter, just a USB charging cable. You can buy separately for $ 10.08, or use the existing USB adapter. Each adapter (come before Kindle, Apple's mobile devices and HTC devices, most of which uses a standard USB power adapter with this unit) with a USB charging cable works. There are also many adapters $ 03.02 is available here, if you are looking for USB chargers.

Bottom line - the choice between basic Kindle, K3, keyboard, touch, and the fire is really a personal preference. The device itself is simple minimalist on the Kindle, like me, reads about 2-3 books a month, wants a device comfortable to hold, and does not need bells and whistles of the imagination in the device. I think it depends what you need for the KindleIf it's just the basics, this is the perfect device to get it.

In my humble opinion, are the options:

(I) If there is a version of the Kindle DX, or age, or if not your own images and are averaging about book readers, this is to get a definitive - the reference model is affordable and is a pure e-Reader.

(Ii) If you are the Kindle 3, and do not really need an update, I recommend staying in K3 is a better device than in terms of features. Update as necessary, is the feeling that probably the best option because of the many additional features at a low marginal cost.

(Iii) If you are looking for a full load in the content experience of the Amazon, with access to all applications, streaming audio and video playback Ninja "therapeutic strange" fruit, waiting for the fire!

I sincerely hope this review helps you decide if this Kindle is right for you. If you still can not make decisions, it may be worth the wait to be released for the Touch and fire, and view comments on these devices before making a final decision.

The Reviews are In

"
That e-ink screen, frankly, has fascinated me. Part of my attraction to the Kindle was its no-refresh, natural feeling, and
the lack of pixel blur on full-page text. I also like the one-handed reading and jacket-pocketable aspects. I followed many
of my fellow CNET editors who are proud Kindle owners and made the plunge. I haven't regretted the purchase." - CNET
"
The new Kindle is the best e-reader $100 (or less!) can buy." - Engadget
"
... if what you want is pure e-reading pleasure for the lowest price around, this is a big, definite winner." - GigaOm
"
I can't think of a single other gadget that costs less than $100 that I'd actually recommend,
which makes the new Kindle just about the best Christmas gift out there." - Popular Science
"
The basic Kindle e-reader from Amazon now starts at $79, a price point that's very hard to resist. It seems that those
of us late-adopters who have hung back will be nicely rewarded for our patience and circumspection." - Chicago Tribune
